    bannerrevA gem!

It’s a little shack on the side of the road, when you get close to it you’re suddenly wrapped in this wonderful barbecue sent and smoke. The joint feels like the old days and you’ll say “hey, you European, what do you know about the old days?”, I watch TV and love oldies… So anyway, it feels old and family run, certainly not part of any big corporation or chain.

When you enter the smell is smoky but not overwhelming, almost subtle if I could use such a word for such a place. The staff is welcoming and friendly, order the chopped beef sandwich (we got it to go), the meat is great as well as the barbecue sauce, it just melts on your tongue. If you order to go they will give you the sauce on the side as well as your choice of pickles, onions and whatnot. A little less appetizing is the bun, standard, white and bland so I ended up eating the meat and sauce of my second sandwich without the bun, yes second because they sell them by three for 5$ (you can order only 1 or 2 if you prefer but…).
